PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: July 15th, 2026
Corporate Power Reset - California ("we," "us," or "our") operates https://corporate-power-reset-california.org/ (the "Site"). We are an independent team of volunteers, not a registered company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit the Site or subscribe to our mailing list.
This policy is written with our primarily U.S. audience in mind, including specific disclosures for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
1. Who We Are
Corporate Power Reset - California
We are an unincorporated team, not a registered company, so we don't have a business address to list. You can reach us at the email above.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you use the subscribe form on our Site, we collect:
- Your email address
When you use the contact form on our Site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The subject and content of your message
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking tools. Some automatic data collection happens as a normal part of how the internet works, and we use one privacy-preserving analytics tool:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: We use Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics to understand roughly how many people visit the Site and which pages they read. It records page views, referring URL, browser type, operating system, country, and page load performance. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites.
- Hosting and CDN logs: Our host, Cloudflare, automatically logs standard technical data for every visit — such as IP address, browser and device type, referring URL, and which pages were requested — as part of routine web server operation and security, for example preventing abuse and denial-of-service attacks.
- Subscribe form: When you open the Brevo subscribe form, Brevo may collect technical data such as your IP address and browser information, and sets one cookie. See Section 5.1.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send you our newsletter and updates you've subscribed to
- Manage your subscription, including processing unsubscribe requests
- Read and reply to messages you send us through the contact form
- Understand which pages people read, so we can improve the Site
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Sharing With Partner Organizations
We may share the information you provided us (your email address and if applicable your name) with one organization, Transparent Election Initiative (TEI), who shares our advocacy goals, and follows closely what is happening nationwide — not just in California like we are. This is the organization which introduced the Montana Plan in Montana. If you do not want your information shared with them, you can opt out at any time by contacting us at: . Under California law, this kind of sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information even though no money changes hands, so we provide this opt-out regardless. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with anyone other than the partner organization described above.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
5.1 Brevo (Email Marketing Platform)
We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), operated by Sendinblue SAS, 7 rue de Madrid, 75008 Paris, France, to manage our subscribe form and send email communications. When you submit the subscribe form, your email address (and any other information you provide) is transferred to and stored by Brevo on our behalf.
Brevo acts as our service provider and processes your information according to our instructions and its own privacy policy: https://www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/
When you open the subscribe form, Brevo sets one session cookie to prevent spam submissions and ensure form functionality.
5.2 Cloudflare (Hosting and Analytics)
Our Site is hosted by Cloudflare, which serves our pages, logs standard technical data as part of routine hosting and security, and provides the privacy-preserving analytics described in Section 2.2. Cloudflare sets no cookies on our Site. Their privacy policy is available at: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
5.3 Web3Forms (Contact Form)
Our contact form is handled by Web3Forms, which receives the name, email address, subject, and message you submit and forwards them to our inbox. Web3Forms stores submissions on servers in the United States for up to 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted. To prevent spam, Web3Forms may share submitters' IP and email addresses with spam-prevention services such as CleanTalk. Their privacy policy is available at: https://web3forms.com/privacy
5.4 Proton Mail (Our Inbox)
Messages sent through our contact form, or sent directly to our email address, arrive in an inbox hosted by Proton Mail. We chose Proton because it stores messages encrypted at rest, meaning Proton cannot read their contents. Their privacy policy is available at: https://proton.me/legal/privacy
5.5 YouTube (Embedded Video)
Our home page embeds a video hosted on YouTube, a Google service. We use
YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which prevents YouTube
from setting its viewing-history cookies. However, Google still sets its own cookies when
the page loads, and receives information about your visit including your IP address —
whether or not you play the video. This happens under Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5.6 Datawrapper (Charts and Maps)
Some pages on our Site display interactive maps created with Datawrapper. When one of these pages loads, your browser requests the map, its data, and its fonts from Datawrapper's servers, which means they receive your IP address and browser information. Datawrapper does not set cookies on our Site. Their privacy policy is available at: https://www.datawrapper.de/privacy
6. Cookies
We don't set any cookies of our own, and we don't use analytics or advertising cookies. The cookies you may encounter come from:
- The Brevo subscribe form, which sets one session cookie when you open the form, to make it work and to prevent spam submissions. It expires when you close your browser.
- The embedded YouTube video on our home page, which causes Google to set cookies when the page loads, whether or not you play the video. See Section 5.5.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings.
7. How Long We Keep Your Information
Subscription data (your email address): retained for as long as you remain subscribed, or until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Contact form messages (your name, email address, subject, and message): Web3Forms deletes its copy after 30 days. Our own copy remains in our inbox indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete it.
8. Your Privacy Rights
8.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and (if applicable) sell or share, and why
- Delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (see Section 4 regarding sharing with partner organizations)
- Limit use of sensitive personal information (not currently applicable — we do not collect sensitive personal information)
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because we do not sell or share personal information automatically, there is no automated sharing for a GPC signal to switch off — the opt-out described in Section 4 is handled manually by contacting us.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at: . We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
8.2 All U.S. Residents
Regardless of your state, you can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or contacting us directly.
9. How to Unsubscribe
You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email you receive from us, or by contacting us at: .
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. The service providers described in Section 5 — Brevo, Cloudflare, Web3Forms, and Proton Mail — each maintain their own security measures, described in their respective privacy policies. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Site, subscribe form, and contact form are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
